Reviews from some of our successful students:

Thomas J.

Cesco was my coach for GMAT, he has a detailed and intricate knowledge of the verbal and quant sections. His unique ability to contextualise problems and breaking complex concepts down, made it easy to learn from him. He was invested and dedicated to my success, I cannot recommend him more highly. Cesco is one of the most qualified tutors out there, his passion for maths and languages made our sessions a real pleasure.

Hannibal Berthier

Cesco was my GMAT tutor in 2018 with the company “Kaplan Sight Test Prep”. He has extraordinary skills both in verbal and in maths and after his explanations every exercise seemed evident and crystal clear. He is also a very patient and kind teacher, and I really enjoyed the lessons with him. I had a goal of 650 and thanks to his help I improved from 480 to 680 in my official test, I was extremely happy and I certainly recommend him as a GMAT tutor.

Thierry Gasser

Cesco's educational background has helped me to reach my goals for the GMAT. Throughout the course, he has been accommodating and kind while offering the best support if something was unclear. I could not have done it without his expertise. Once more, thank you for the tremendous support and for helping me achieve my goals.

Ivan Lagizov

I highly recommend Cesco as a GMAT prep teacher. His expertise in breaking down complex concepts, personalized approach to each student, and dedication to ensuring comprehension make him an invaluable resource for anyone preparing for the GMAT test. Cesco's ability to create a supportive and motivating learning environment truly sets him apart.

GMAT exam - FAQ

What is the GMAT exam?

The Graduate Management Admission Test, or GMAT, is a standardized English-language computer-based test that is designed to evaluate an applicant's future performance in graduate business and management programs such as an MBA, not to test the professional knowledge gained at the college level, so most business schools require applicants to include GMAT scores. It assesses analytical writing and problem-solving abilities, along with the data sufficiency, logic, and critical reasoning skills that are vital to real-world business and management success.

What are the differences between the old and the new GMAT Focus Edition?

The main differences of the new GMAT Focus edition from the previous GMAT are the following:

  • Data Sufficiency was moved with Integrated Reasoning in the third section "Data Insights"
  • Essay, Geometry and Sentence Correction were removed
  • It is shorter: 45’ for each section (Quantitative, Verbal, Data Insights)
  • It is more flexible: you can choose the order of the 3 sections and you can modify up to 3 answers per section
  • The score is between 205 and 805 (instead of 200-800), still in steps of 10 points, so you can immediately know if a score is old or new GMAT

What is the structure of the GMAT Focus Edition?

As reported in the official site of GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council™), the new GMAT Focus Edition has 3 sections:

  • Quantitative Reasoning: 45 minutes, 21 questions, assesses problem solving skills
  • Verbal Reasoning: 45 minutes, 23 questions, assesses critical reasoning and reading comprehension skills
  • Data Insights: 45 minutes, 20 questions, assesses data literacy skills

And has some new features:

Question Review & Edit Candidates can bookmark and review as many questions as they want and can change up to three answers per section.
Select Section Order Candidates can take the exam in whatever section order they prefer.
Improved Official Score Report Detailed performance insights provided to candidates for free.
Easier Score Sending After candidates know their score (and not before) they can send it to 5 schools for free.

Can I enroll into a good Business School without GMAT or with a bad score?

Some business schools do not require the GMAT, but all best business schools do.

What is the weight of the GMAT in an MBA application?

It is considered that GMAT weight is over 20% in an MBA application.

Is it hard to reach a GMAT score of 700?

Yes. If you have strong math and verbal skills you might reach 700 alone in a few months, otherwise a coach can drastically speed up the process.
